Delicious drinks are the key to making any backyard bash a success. Though most of these recipes contain alcohol, you can easily sub out the booze for a virgin punch. Happy sipping!
Lime-Grapefruit-Basil Gin Punch: Great for large parties, this punch can be made hours in advance. Mix it up in the morning, chill it, and simply top with the fizzy water just before guests arrive.
1 cup basil leaves
1 cup sugar
1 (750ml) bottle gin
6 cups (48oz/1,419ml) grapefruit juice
1 cup (8oz/236ml) lime juice
1 liter (4 cups) fizzy water
4 limes, sliced into coins
Recipe: Make the simple syrup: In a medium pot, stir the sugar into 1 cup of water. Turn the heat to medium-high, and let the sugar water come to a simmer. Turn off the heat, and add the basil leaves. Let the simple syrup steep for 30 minutes. Run the syrup through a sieve, and then move it to the fridge to chill, at least 30 minutes. Mix together the basil syrup, gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice and 2 cups of cold water; chill for at least 30 minutes, until quite cold. Before serving, top the punch with lime coins. You can add the fizzy water all at once to the punch bowl, or allow each guest to top off their own glass. [You can make the punch (basil syrup + gin + grapefruit juice + lime juice + water) up to 1 day ahead, and chill in the fridge until ready to serve.]

4 peaches, sliced
1 bottle (750 ml) rose wine, chilled
2 cups sparkling lemonade (like Lorina lemonade), chilled
2 tablespoons black-raspberry liqueur (like Chambord)
Recipe: Place half the peach slices in ice cube trays, one slice per compartment; add water, and freeze. Mix wine, lemonade, and liqueur in punch bowl. Add peach slices and some of the peach ice cubes. To serve, place remaining peach ice cubes in cups, and ladle in the punch; garnish with raspberries.
Cucumber Lime Punch: This refreshing punch perfectly pairs bright citrus with cool cucumbers for a instant crowd-pleaser.
1 European Cucumber, thinly sliced
2 Limes, thinly sliced
1 cup Water
12 oz. can Limeade Concentrate, thawed
1 liter Club Soda
Fresh Mint (optional)
Recipe: Add cucumber, lime, water, and lime concentrate to a small punch bowl or pitcher and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Add cold club soda and ice just before serving. Slap mint leaves between your hands before adding. Add 1 cup Rum for an alcoholic punch.
Sparkling Pear-Prosecco Punch: This adorable pink punch is perfect for your next outdoor brunch or backyard bridal shower this summer.
2 cups pear nectar
1 cup cranberry juice
3 cups prosecco or sparkling wine
Sliced pears, for garnish
Recipe: Combine pear nectar and cranberry juice in a punch bowl. Top with prosecco or sparkling wine. Garnish with sliced pears and serve chilled.
Spiked Peach Punch: Rum, lime juice, ginger ale, and fresh fruit come together in this refreshing punch perfect for scorching summer soirees.
2 cups Alizé Peach
1 cup white rum
¼ cup lime juice
2 liters ginger ale
Lime, lemon, and peach slices
Add ice to a large punch bowl, pour in remaining liquid ingredients and stir, add in the fruit slices.
